About Me
I offer therapy sessions both in-person and virtually, with a strong preference for in-person work, especially for children and families. My office is a colorful, comfortable, and emotionally safe space designed to support regulation, play, and connection. In-person therapy allows us to slow things down, engage the body, and build skills together in ways that are often harder to replicate on a screen.
My Niche: Children, Families, and Neurodiversity
My niche is working with children and families who are trying their best but feel stuck in patterns that no longer work. Many of the children I see struggle with focus, emotional regulation, or the aftereffects of difficult or overwhelming experiences. This may include ADHD, trauma, or chronic stress within the home environment. I take a trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming approach, focusing on understanding behaviors as meaningful responses to sensory needs and brain-based differences rather than problems to be “fixed.”
Supporting the Whole Family
Parents often come to therapy feeling worried, frustrated, or unsure how to help—and that makes sense. I believe meaningful progress happens when children are supported and parents are supported. In addition to child and family sessions, I regularly meet with parents individually (typically about once a month) to provide guidance, clinical education, and space to reflect. Together, we focus on strengthening connection, building confidence, and developing tools that actually fit your family’s unique rhythm.
I also work with adolescents and adults who are navigating emotional regulation challenges, identity development, relationship stress, or the impact of past experiences. Across all ages, my goal is to help clients feel safer in their bodies, more connected to themselves and others, and equipped with practical, evidence-based skills they can use in everyday life.
Clinical Modalities
My approach is integrative and relational, drawing primarily from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), along with IFS-informed, play-based, and art-based interventions. Therapy with me is collaborative, strengths-based, and paced with care, honoring where you are while supporting meaningful growth.
Therapeutic Approach
I believe therapy should complement your unique learning style—whether you are a visual, kinesthetic, or audio learner. I integrate evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), including mindfulness practices. I also love incorporating Art Therapy-informed interventions and Eco-Therapy (nature-based healing) to help you process emotions creatively.
For my younger clients, I believe the process must be a team effort. If the client is a minor, I incorporate Parent-Skill Building and Family Therapy-informed interventions at least once a month. My goal is to build emotional intelligence and practical behavioral problem-solving skills that work in the real world.
