I believe that the most powerful part of therapy is the moment you realize you are truly being seen and heard. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are without the weight of judgment or the need to “perform.” I’ve spent my career working with children as young as five, teens, and adults in various settings, and I’ve learned that while every journey is different, we all share a need for a safe place to grow.

As an adoptee, I have a deep personal understanding of the unique challenges surrounding identity, family dynamics, and the lifelong questions that can arise from the adoption experience. This personal lens fuels my passion for providing art-informed therapy and creative counseling for children, teens, and adults navigating identity transitions. Whether you are exploring your own path or looking for a creative, supportive approach for your child, I am here to help you find your voice.

I describe my style as flexible, integrative, and strengths-oriented. I view therapy as a “healing journey with a friend”. It won’t always be easy, and I will challenge you, but we are a team. I believe that the stories we tell ourselves about our lives have a massive impact on how we feel. Together, we will work on “re-authoring” your narrative, moving away from labels of shame and toward a story of resiliency.

What to expect when we meet: In our first session, I want to get to know you, not just your symptoms. We’ll talk about your interests, your family, and what makes you laugh. To make things feel more comfortable, especially for my younger clients, I often incorporate art-making, games, or fun questions.

• Creative Healing: I use play therapy and art-based interventions to help children and teens express things that words sometimes can’t.

• Practical Tools: Growth doesn’t just happen in my office. I often suggest “homework” or small experiments for you to try between sessions so we can see what tools actually work for you in the real world.

I specialize in helping people navigate complex identity transitions and behavioral hurdles. I am particularly passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ community, especially teens navigating today’s cultural climate.

My clinical focus includes:

• Neurodiversity & Mood: Practical strategies for managing ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
• Identity & Sexuality: Affirming care for gender identity development and exploration.
• Evidence-Based Care: I draw from CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness, and I am currently integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you understand the different “parts” of yourself.
• Adoption & Foster Care: Identity formation, attachment, and trauma-informed support for the adoption triad.
• Children & Adolescents (Ages 5+): Utilizing play-directed therapy and creative modalities to help kids thrive.
